Try a tattoo before it is permanent

Upload a photo of the spot you have in mind, pick a design or add your own, then move, scale, rotate and bend it to follow the curve of your arm or leg. The photo stays on your device.

How to get a realistic preview

  1. Take the photo straight on, in daylight, with the area relaxed and nothing covering it.
  2. Use a design with a transparent background, ideally a PNG exported from your artist's sketch, or one of our line-art samples.
  3. Set the size so the design matches what you have in mind on your body, not on the screen.
  4. Bend it. Arms and legs are round, so a flat design looks narrower at the edges. The "bend around the limb" slider squeezes the sides the way skin wraps around a cylinder.
  5. Lower the ink strength for healed, slightly softened lines; raise it to see fresh work.

What a preview can and cannot tell you

A preview helps with placement, size and orientation: whether a design fits the forearm, how far it wraps, and how it sits next to existing tattoos. It cannot show how ink settles in your skin, how fine lines spread over the years, or how the area moves. Talk those through with a licensed tattoo artist, who will also adapt the design to your body.

Also think about visibility at work, sun exposure (which fades colour) and how the design will look in ten years, when fine details may blur.

Your privacy

The preview is drawn in your browser. Your photo and your design are not uploaded or stored by us. When you close the page they are gone, unless you download the preview image.
